This is another combo presentation by Jazz Collectibles Classics of two 1956 Atlantic Records releases. On tracks 1, 4, 7, and 10, Chris Connor is accompanied by John Lewis on piano, Barry Galbraith on guitar, Oscar Pettiford on bass and Connie Kay on drums.

On #2 and 9, Chris is backed by a 19-piece orchestra conducted by Ralph Burns. On tracks 3, 5, 6 and 8, she's accompanied by Nick Travis-trumpet; Ray Beckenstein and Danny Bank (aka Luke The Wailer)-sax and clarinet; Moe Wechsler (aka Baldy Wynn)-piano; Barry Galbraith-guitar; Milt Hinton-bass; Osie Johnson-drums. That's Zoot Sims (aka Jack Zoot) playing tenor sax on #8.

Tracks #13-24 are arranged and conducted by Ralph Burns.

Of course, you're aware that John Lewis and Connie Kay are half of the Modern Jazz Quartet...
